Experience the Cascade Canyon Winter Train through the snowy mountains of Colorado and the San Juan National Forest, pulled by Durango & Silverton 480.

Spanning 26 miles from Durango to Cascade Canyon, the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad offers the trip in the winter months with views of snowclad peaks and the Animas River.

Durango & Silverton 480 is one of the railroad’s 2-8-2 Mikado type steam engines, part of the K-36 class originally delivered to the Denver and Rio Grande Western in 1925.
