In April 2025, Dak Dillon Photography and SLORailfanning hosted a two-day photography excursion in California’s Central Coast region at the Pacific Coast Railroad and Norgrove Railway.

Day 1 – Pacific Coast Railroad at the Santa Margarita Ranch

Day 2 – Norgrove Railway at Norgrove Garden Vineyards

A heartfelt thank you to the crew, volunteers and supporters of Pacific Coast Railroad Company for making our charter with SLORailfanning a steaming success.

At Nogrove Railway, the event would not have been possible without the support of a group of dedicated Brits from the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways under the command of Adrian Strachan, along with the Norgrove team, including Hayden Seybold, Karl Hovanitz and Peter Nott.

Both properties went above and beyond to prepare for the event, from preparing a custom freight consist to updating the engine headlights.

The event was part of Steam Charters by Dak Dillon Photography, which aims to showcase the essence of each host railroad and its unique landscape, equipment, and people.
